Blurring the line between fact and fiction, Simone Yang’s new video puts RK Denim’s Outono Inverno 2012 Collection as the center for a bizarre trip through Milan’s historic arts quarter. Stephanie Kherlakian does masterful work as designer. The models blend and pop out of the background, change day into night, and finally walk off into the sun together, free from their burden as they swivel onto which reality turns. It is really the collection, though, that makes this change possible. It is the spark which animates the desires vaguely expressed in the film, and it is what gives the models their seemingly unworldly powers.
