Model Feature: The other side of Cailin Russo

Stylist extraordinaire Palma Wright interviews LA’s hottest “IT” girl model & singer/songwriter Cailin Russo. Yes, we said singer, she’s already killing the modeling game so just wait until you hear her new music! Currently, she’s in and out of the studio laying down demos and planning her next moves in the music industry.  We’ve gotten a chance to hear some of her new music exclusively and this girl has raw talent, the right aesthetic and thought provoking lyrics.

There’s only one word to describe Cailin, FIRE. To prove that title we’ve included a HOT HOT HOT Astonish Magazine exclusive behind the scenes video shot by an exceptionally talented videographer, Aris Jerome. Designer Elliott Beach of Mamadoux handcrafted all of the garments and some of the accessories used in this fashion film.

This video footage is from Cailin’s 12 page feature which is currently available in Astonish Magazine Issue 2. To view the stunning images included 12 page spread shot by renowned photographer Ted Emmons, visit www.magcloud.com/browse/issue/779169 and purchase your own copy.

    Fashion Film: The Maldoror Collection

    Fashion Film: The Maldoror Collection
Directed by Michal Dabal and Zuza Krajewska

“Beautiful as the chance meeting on a dissecting table of a sewing machine and an umbrella.” These words echo from the very pages of the little known French author Comte de Lautréamont’s Les Chants de Maldoror (1869) onto directors Michal Dabal and Zuza Krajewska’s short fashion film for the clothing line Maldoror. Mystery, sensuality, longing, and delirium – these four words come to mind in the first 30 seconds of the short film as the beautiful Hanna Koczewska from ModelPlus showcase the latest Maldoror collection. Based in Warsaw, Poland, designer Grzegorz Matląg has infused a strong Middle Eastern heritage in his designs, with a vision to design for those who see beauty in the passing and imperfection.
