Twin sisters, Coriana and Brianna, also known as Coco & Breezy, are the founders of a cutting edge sunglass brand based in New York City. Originally from Minnesota, the twins’ continue to work on their designs with the dream of making it on their own as an innovative boutique fashion brand. “Beautiful as the chance meeting on a dissecting table of a sewing machine and an umbrella.” These words echo from the very pages of the little known French author Comte de Lautréamont’s Les Chants de Maldoror (1869) onto directors Michal Dabal and Zuza Krajewska’s short fashion film for the clothing line Maldoror. Mystery, sensuality, longing, and delirium – these four words come to mind in the first 30 seconds of the short film as the beautiful Hanna Koczewska from ModelPlus showcase the latest Maldoror collection. Based in Warsaw, Poland, designer Grzegorz Matląg has infused a strong Middle Eastern heritage in his designs, with a vision to design for those who see beauty in the passing and imperfection.
